Northall & District Christmas Lunch 1986

Nearly 50 elderley residents of Northall, Edlesborough, Eaton Bray and Dagnall were treated to sherry, a traditional turkey dinner and delightful entertainment in Northall Village Hall on Wednesday.

The occasion was Age Concern, Northall and District's Christmas Lunch, prepared on the premises by the team of volunteer's who help throughout the year.

Special guests included the chairman, Peter Bennett, Age Concern Buckinghamshire representative Carol O'Donnell and parish council chairman and clerk, Avril Bone and Sue Parker.

The old folk enjoyed a draw and a competition to guess the name of a doll provided by Mrs Bone which raised £17.

Children from Edlesborough School sang carols, danced and played musical instruments and Stan "Trigger" Sear played Father Christmas - he is pictured with Mini Williams and oldest member Dorothy Hutching, aged 90 of Taskers Row Edlesborough.
